KAREN BAUSMAN + ASSOCIATES SELECTED AS NEW YORK CITY DESIGN EXCELLENCE FIRM Karen Bausman + Associates has been awarded a multi-year Design Excellence contract from the City of New York Department of Parks & Recreation.KB+A is one of eight firms selected by the Bloomberg administration to support the city’s goal of maintaining New York’s status as a world leader in architectural and urban design. The Parks Department Capital Projects Division is playing a lead role in advancing the city’s initiative to promote the highest standards in contemporary architectural design at more than 1,700 parkland sites throughout the city, including 14 miles of beaches, 800 athletic fields, nearly 1,000 playgrounds, 66 swimming pools and 30 recreation centers. |
